Ive been offered a rusty old T18 for free and was wondering if theres anything worth pulling off them ie. sway bars, suspension, engine?. I know the diffs are compatable but thats it. I dont know if it has an LSD but chances are not likely Im thinking otherwise ill be one happy camper .
only a rumour but apparantly gearboxes will bolt up to 4a's as long as you use the 4a bell housing, they are also supposed to be better geared ratio wise. I have seen one in the flesh and they look exactly the same. but don't quote me on that. but if it does fit tell all every one i told ya!!
if its free take it the diffs alone can fetch $300
if you do get it let us know if its got chrome bumpers cause i'll buy em off you
Sounds like I might be getting it then. Ill have to check it out an see what its got, maybe on tuesday or wednesday. I hope its still there..

what about the suspension?
pull the front struts out, diff and gearbox, then advertise the rest as a rolling shell for $200
so the struts are the same? anyone confirm the gearbox?
I reshelled my old T18 4AGE into a sprinter basically with everything Struts diff etc. same with gearbox, i used to have T18 box matched to a JDM AE86 bellhousing to my 4AGE in the T18, but someone else may confirm

struts are DIFFERENT
when u try to run a power steering arm or ae86 rca...then u will know
