yeh man mine has similar damage... it used to reside out on a farm pretty much so no surprises really... looks kinda gross.... dont think it effects shit though
i was under my car and realised that the chasis rails under car frm front to back are bent upwards. looks asthough it got dented hitting a speed hump real hard. i actually thought i screwed up my chasis somehow. then i thought:-
1. if its because of impact, it should have a sharp edge. it was linearly rounded upwards (below front seats).
2. impossible for me to bend both sides so perfectly the same.
3. saw exactly the same bent thing in 2 other sprinters *sigh of relieve*
Ps. pls check under ur 86 so i know for sure thanks

i think the 86 was born like that though
Shouldn't this be in 'technical questions' section?
From the title and the section its in, i thought that u had discovered a 3rd chassis rail or sumshit.
What a let down
i drifted/dropped onto a ripple strip masive dent in my rh rail ive hit a million rocks, scraped the trailer heeps, hit heeps of ripple strips even hit the wheel align bench my rails are farkd but still holds stiff as and drifts hard dont worry the structure of a sprinter body is awesome.
I think they all like dat, because i checked under mine and my friends one.
mine are all f***ing, i think its from the last person putting the jack in the wrong place though. i could also be wrong and its jsut been trashed to the sit house witch is mre that likely the reason
exactly what i was after
lol they may be all like that but they didnt come like that factory. My last one was like that, and also had creases in the smaller rails further back. My current one is straight and has no chassis deformaties, I cant notice any difference in handling.
Maybe yours was done with wrong jacking or even a forktruck? (is it an import? )
