The arrow points in the direction of the flow of fuel (ie from the tank to the engine)

Towards the engine mate. The arrows mean which way the fuel goes. I actually use 2 of them on my AE92 Corolla as they are only $5 each.

    Cheers

just remember not to use those plastic ones after an electric fuel pump. as the pressure can cause them to split around the seam, and cause no fuel to engine but fuel all over the road or worse, exhaust!!!

I wouldnt go too crazy on filters as they have a specific rating as to what size particles they filter. If a particle is small enough to go through the first one its gonna do the same on the rest of them...... that said though if u put one that has a lower rating inline first so it picks up the big stuff but still lets a bit of flow through then a finer one after it to pick up the small stuff, it will stop them getting blocked as quick and allow enough flow.
