HOW MUCH RUST HAVE U GOT AND WHERE :P

just wondering for all the people that own sprinters here where all ur rust is?

dont lie every sprinter has some ... except my first one which had NO rust


where have u got urs.. i only noticed mine tonight cause i stripped the mongrel right down for paint... sneeky rust

theres a couple of bumps about the size of grains of rice above my front Windcreen and, well thats it really.

I have 2 hatches with so much rust around the window seal its rediculous. None in my body except for a small amount on the firewall, seen it in the same spot on a few other 86's too

worst bit is need fuel cap... not that bad... some specs on hatch uo the top, and some specs inside the doors

---small hole in drivers door sill.
---Both rear gaurds... espesh where the bumper covers..thats gone..
---Few little spots on the tail gate
---Rust all around the hatch..(under the weather seal)
---A small amount in spare tyre well
---Small hole/patch in passenger 1/4 window

lol where to start?

both doors at the bottom
above the windscreen... all the way along, leaks water
under plastic door vents (where the door open switch is)
tailgate, where the two panels join under the lights
rear wheel arches (just a little bit)
hatch, at the bottom of the window
then there is surface rust all over the place...

I've only treated the rust with rust converter and siliconed up any leak points. Once I finish Uni I'll get a clean shell and put any good bits from this one into it... but its still a fun car for the time being
My last sprinter had only a miniscule amount of rust and I cant notice any difference in driveability, I expected that I might get a few more squeaks and that sort of thing but there is nothing.

I think I'll change my number plate to "RUS 786" (read: rus - t 86 )

I have none at all in the body and none has been repaired either!

I however have a little bit in the corner of my factory sunroof panel.

Bloody happy i tell ya.
