but using a distribution block negates the use of the balancing tube seeing as you run 4 runners into 4 ports on the dizzy block then one big one to the booster, 1 for fpr and 1 to the map sensor right?

<< if you were wondering the specs fo the dizzy blocks

i't more for tuning than brake booster, thats just the bonus.. if you can get your hand around the back to adjust and tune each of the throttle bodies to read the same vaccum on idle please let me know.. i found it impossible as the T3 manifold mounts the TB's upside down..and the screws face the engine.. i did this so i could tune them by eye off the car, put them on and not have to really worry about one leaning out and melting a piston cos it doesn't read the same as all the rest..

put it this way the MAP and dizzy block averages out the fuel needed right, but a 3mm vac line won't do shit to average the vaccum between cylinders..thats the key

i'm not saying not to use the block, just that this is the way i have done it because i didn't have a block, and it works, works really well, all my tb's run the same vaccum on idle and i know that a balance tube between 1b per cyl injection/carburation is a good idea for a street car, it just allows it to idle easier

    im confused

the balancing tubes are the ones with the T pieces that join the 4 cylinders together to make 1 'vacumn rail' right?

i know what your saying but i dont get why its going to help balance between the cylinders when ill be using a dizzy block setup that brings each vacumn runner to a single source then averages the signal then sends it to the map sensor?

im SURE its f***ing simple and im reading to much into it but could you elaborate?

this is how i envision mine to be setup
will it work the same way you have done?
will it idle and work the same way

i ask because i was going to wait for my haltech E8 ecu to be installed but now it might work without

simple reason is that the 3mm lines are no where near big enough to equalise the ports.. thats why i killed 2 birds with one stone and pieced them together with 5mm lines..and used it for the booster while i was there

    ah sick
    thanks mate

im going to try to get mine working this weekend with the dizzy block method

as for tuning, are you using any special timing? with the ecu you have just plugged the ae82 one in? nothing fancy to make it idle?

just a stock ae82 ecu..no mods.. swapping for, an adaptronics which uses TPS to control fuel mixtures.. the stock ecu should have no probs runnig, but it might run a bit rich, on my freshly rebuilt motor it's stating to galze the bores a bit, cos the rings haven't had a chance to bed it, but i should be able to sort that out once the new ECU is in..
