    Hey all,
I recently found that I have a slight problem with my car. Today some guy cut infront of me in the middle of the night. So instead of beeping him/ her I flashed him/her and my lights totally blacked out ( like driving with no lights) but my headlights came back after i took it of high beam. Is there a way I could fix this myself? I have no clue what the problem could be..
    Thanks

You could possibly even blowen both bulbs. Have you checked?

I had this problem with my last sprinter. I would turn on the highbeams and the lights would go out completely, after a short while the highbeams would come on properly. The time that they came on after varied a fair bit and often they would come on instantly so it was a bit like playing headlight russian rulette or something
I didn't ever find out what the problem was but its common for sprinters to have problems with the pcb in the headlight switch.

Oh yeah, also changing the lightbulbs did nothing for me so I dont think that the problem was there.

Hey guys thanks for the replies,
It is definately not the bulb as the lights work as they should bar the high beams. Does anyone else know what might be the problem? Could it be a fuse?
