i have a 4ac and im running 215/14/60 with my stock running gear i still get a lot of smoke and side ways action you dont need forced induction.
(but it would help)you just have to have more balls and go into corners a little faster.

Oh god...the 'ol "Anything narrower is dangerous...the tyre will roll off the rim" attitude.

    Tell em to bash off.

    I've run a 175 on a 7" rim no probs.

    Do you have 15x8s?

    Wanna sell?

ive been told mis matching tyre width to rims is actually illegal as its an instant defect and it comes back on the tyre fitter/seller

i think that depends on who is defecting you. but i know what you mean, its like tyre shops that won't sell big rims to mini truck guys because of load ratings and stuff...... it all depends on the mood of the cop or transport inspector me thinks

    Wink

I've had a 165 on a 7 before no probs. Shit, Josh runs a 195 on a 9 so yeah theres no real problem with stretching. Unless you are shit at parallel parking or someting...

    Not interested in selling, sorry.

I am actually looking for more 8inch wide wheel, just so hard to find.
    Previous cars:
BMW 318i, Mazda MX5, Mazda Familia, Toyota Levin GTV (miss it), AE71, AE92 corolla x 2, Honda Integra Type R DC2 (awesome car),
Mitsubishi Evo 8 MR (Missing it)

    Current Car:
    2013 Hilux SR5 (turning it into a off-road warrior)
I am looking for a track only car..... Thinking of an AE86 to use.

So running a 225/50/15 on an 8inch tyre wont really be stretched will it?
You would still have tonnes of sidewall flex...... It would be best to at least run a 195/50/15 on a 8"wide?.......
