1:are 20v silver top injectors larger capacity than normal 16V ones?

2:i saw a pic of josh's pink hachi before it was turbo and it looked like he had fitted the TB's on without an adaptor plate. can you do this if you blocked up the original injector holes?

there are 2-3 different types of 16v injectors...specify. either way, i'm 90% sure they are bigger for the silvertop

josh's 86 had an adapter plate. they're not that thick, so you prolly wouldn't see it in pics.

you can't get away without one. the ports are totally different size...

jusr incase you didnt know 20 valve engines have side feed injectors while 16V engines have top feed, and hence incopatable.

15v?? yeh i had a bent valve once.. sucked arse.. just joshin..

silver tops are 280cc.. most 16V ones are around the low 200's.. cept for GZE's which are 365cc..

as said the 20v ones are actually in the manifold.. befor the port.. where as ALL 16V's have the injectors sitting at the start of the port in the head.. no inlet manifold or brackets are needed to fit a set of injectors/fuel rail to a 16V.. thats why a quad conversion is soooooooo easy

josh's set up uses the stock 20v manifold, with a 16v flange welded on. you can block the injector holes with small welsch plugs, cut down bolts, custom made aluminium plugs, epoxy resin...

    Just because i can :
To add useful information to the thread, the 20v injectors i got with my manifold were a light gay, and flowed to 275cc, so possibly those are what people are talking about. Sidefeed though.
7MGE injectors are good for top-feed NA engines 295cc.

there are too 7mge types , the light green 315 , and yellow 295 . And people go putting 3sgte ones biege 430 side feed . But once again nobody has picked up on any differences why you cannot just go swaping injectors over .

ohmage is the less obvious point youre making. and of course flow compatibilities with whatever ecu your using.

the question is vary breif, but if we are to infer that youre trying to use a stock ecu (16v type) quads, then you need to keep the stock injectors.

if youre putting quads on a 16v and want to adapt the 20v manfold/use the injectors, you need programable, or the 20v management.
