stud pattern is 114.3mmx4
or 4.5inchesx4
offset varies on rim

stock offset is +27mm
here is a bit of a guide to what will fit. i'm running 14 by 6 inch +10 offset at the moment and they fit very well.
I have 15x8 0 offset on the rear, just fit nicely, and 15x7 +12 offset on the front, needs more offset but meh.
Cheers
Steve
Insert witty comment here....
hey im looking at some 14 x 7 rims whent to the tyre place they said they could put 185/60/14 or 175/60/14 unsure of how much stretch 175 would be, any 1 with pics? plus could i run 175/55/14 or will i throw my speedo out?
you can find a tyre size calculator there..heard of it from some1 in toymods..it will tell u the diameter difference, speedo difference etc..very useful
stock is +27? really? i thought it was less
any 1 with pics? would it be too stretched?

I'm running 14x7" ma61 supra rims (offset +9) with 195/60 tyres on it. They fit on fairly well. 175/60 might be a bit of a stretch, but 185/60 will fit fine (My spare is running that size). Can't take pics at the moment, as my car is at the mechanics. will take some when i get it back.
To give you a quick idea, the wheels/tyres come right out close to the guards. I needed to roll the guards cos the car is lowered, but if your running stock height, you shouldn't have to. Also if you run 185's there shouldn't be too much scrubbing.
i ran 15x7 +12mm on my sprinter, the rears definately could have filled the guards more maybe a 0 or a slightly negative offset (-5 -10)would have filled them out better. the fronts filled alright but probably would have been better at a 0 offset as well.
in saying that the same 15x7's sat flush with the frontguards on my ke70 and only sit in slightly on the rear, show's how generous the ae86 guards are!!
basically you wont be able to readily buy/afford a wheel for your 86 in a low enough offset that wont fit.
anything lower than -5 is really expensive and un common
width really isnt an issue untill you get above 8"s wide. so yeah, once again, unless youre looking to spend MORE than $1300 (not including tyres) and wait it out till some nice rare jap stuff turns up, then just go for the widest lowest offset rim you can get your hands on.
