I watched a show about bush mechanics and there fuel pump died so they connected a hose from the washer bottle to the carbie and putted along holding on the washer button

Hmmm when someone hit the front of my car and bent the radiator support back about 15-20cms my brother and I used a garden hose to pull it back out again, and my front bar is held on by 4 cable ties.
