I just made 192rwkw in my silvia with these mods.

    CA18DET stock
    KKR 330, 18psi boost
    Hi mount manifold
    Sard 534cc inj
    z32 afm
    600x300x75mm fmic
    Remapped stock ecu
    walbro fuel pump

Not sure how reliable they are but they make some power.

Its a track only car, so I haven't driven it yet.

    it wont

most chinese turbs are never balanced hence massive shaft failure

    Everyone's an expert aren't they?

Perhaps you can tell me where Garrett turbos are manufactured? I bet you'll say Japan or something like every other numb-nut who knows nothing.

As I said to Hen on the weekend, it comes down to quality control, not the country is manufactured in. Garrett's manufacturing plants are in China and Malaysia So I guess they must not be balanced and will suffer from "massive shaft failure" - sounds like a discussion on impotence.

KKR turbos come with a 6 month replacement warranty, Garrett come with 3 months. Bit silly if we wanted to actually make any money to put an industry-leading warranty on an inferior product, wouldn't you say?

Unfortunately there have been some real dogs in the turbo scene recently, but whereas most of them will literally shit themselves after one or two power runs on the dyno, we've had not one bearing, shaft or wheel failure to date.
We all run them on our own cars which we have poured tens of thousands of dollars into - I think this fact also makes a good point.

Oh, one more thing - the KKR 330 out-performed a Garrett GT28RS on the dyno, quite convincingly too.

Food for thought... And next time you want to know something, ask the distributor who actually might know a thing or two about the product.

    Cheers,

    Jeremy.

Guys, I was having a chat to one of the distributors today and he stated that unlike most cheap turbos these DO have balanced shafts.

However maybe you should ring them and ask yourself. Then possibly take a close look at one and see if you agree.

    Hen
