hi guys im wiring up an el cheapo diy cd player..and found out that my ciggarette lighter is not working..any1 can help?..on my other car i used to look up the fuse box 1st if anythings wrong..but obviously doesnt apply for my stoko 4ac sprinter coz i cant find a fuse for theciggy lighter
Apparently there is a CIG 15A fuse, somewhere, so look for that first.
Or just grab a multimeter and see if it has 12V at the socket. If it does, then it might not be connecting with whatever you are pluging into it.
On my other car, I once had to bend out the middle 12V pin to make contact. Over time with heat they can bend themselves away and loose connection.
might not be much help, but mine use to not work. Unplugged the plug out of the back and put it back in and it worked, so probably the problem would have been what Kane just mentioned
