Hi, i have a problem with my idle speed... Its running about 1600, and with the light on about 1400 rmp... Any typical problems?

booster line could be cracked.. i don't think a 3mm vac hose would make it jump that much.. check your timing.. but there are also a few 3mm lines off the inlet manifold and throttle body.. check them.. or even just replace them.. does it make a loud hissing noise on idle? has it just all of a sudden started doing this?
I've just cheked the timing, it was fine. Ang i have replaced all the vacum hose's... You wrote "but there are also a few 3mm lines off the inlet manifold and throttle body" Sorry but i really dont understand that sentence :-( Sure i know what manifold and throttle body means, but not what you mean "with lines off the ..." Is it like fittings? Were the hoses get stock to?

there are a few small 3mm steel pipes at the top of the throttle body.. check those vac hoses..
also it could be your cold start wax pellate thing.. you know the 2 water lines that go to the throttle body..that controls to a degree your cold start idle speed..
it your car fitted with pwr steering?
Ok, i will check the pipes tomorrow. I will look at the cold start thing(if i can find it) :-) No pwr steering...(no ae86 with pwr steering in dk)
Better get to bed, its midnight in denmark right now :-)

the wax pellat thing i would be inclined to remove.. here is aussie in the cold est of cold (queensland at least) rarly dips below 0... so i don't even run a cold start injector!if you have another throttle body try changing them over..
Yes i tried to hold my finger over the hole whitch leads air under the gas throttle, then the idle speed falls... So this may be the problem...![]()
alrighty then! try blanking it off for a while using one of those little platsic/rubber nipples from a auto parts store.. there 4-5mm i think
