Thread: Best price/place for complete Respray (color change)

    Hi all,

    Can anyone recommend a place in sydney that will do cheaper respray jobs?
    Looking at converting my blue AE86 to Panda scheme, engine bad not painted, jsut the outside inPANDA.

    Ive been quote pretty high prices, anyone know a cheaper option?

    Cheap paintjobs are exactly that

    If it was my car I would pay a good price to get a good paintjob

    you can always reduce the costs by doing most of the prep work your self. like rubbing back the original, and bogging up where it is needed. a fair sort of price for a painter to basicall hold the gun is around $2500 - $3000 providing you have done most of or all of the prep work.

    and if u do the prep work you may as well hire a gun, compressor and do it yourself.. i sprayed my engine bay myself and its come up tops! planning to do the rest of the car soon

    GOt any pics of how it looks?

    Im more after just a color change rather than a smooth surface....

    i've done my interior with cans and it came out sweet... and i know scooba steve did the exterior of his s13 with cans and it looks kick ass... like a professonal job!

    my mate got his car done, candy apple red, very nice finsih, not a cheap lookin job but it cost him 1500 i think. some small shop in livopool, i have to ask my mate the name of the shop tho. And that was a bit of body work aswell gettin dents out.

    yeah steve spent many hours spraying that thing but it does look good

    How good do you need to be to DIY with spray cans?
    Does it last and have luster?

    Any one got pics of a can job?

    And what sort of prep is involved?
