his car has a mega stiff chassis
its quite impressive.
dunno if it would be an alternative to a cage.
its not gonna stop the roof from collasping in on you in a big crash.
I was watching JDM insider just now and they where doing a segment on the Apex R32 GTR which didnt have a Roll Kage in it istead the structure was injected with urethene what they say when it injected in the frame it expands and makes the frame stronger and more rigid. has anyone experimented with this before?
*edit*
cage is spelt with a c
How many times have you seen kids playing on the Touge at night.

Also seam welding along all joints will provide more chassis rigidity.
how much would it cost to do?

Dunno whether this is true or not but I've heard that stuff can accelerate rust. Do some research before making your Sprinter even more delicious for rust.
just a few points from when i looked into it a while ago
if you pump the stuff in
- make sure you get the right stuff. There's certain types, this can be found on Club4AG (the information, that is)
- as far as the rust goes, this is accurate, if you're not careful. you could block off water drainage holes, so water would get trapped along your chasis/parts of your car and cause rust.
Could be an idea if done properly for a street driven sprinter that sees the track/dorifto/whatever.
Sure no alternative for a roll cage, but I think a lot of the reason for a roll cage is for chasis rigidty.
Grant.
sure roll cage improves chassis rigity, but why do they call a roll cage, a roll cage?
hathane is probably what your looking for, itll increse the chassis, but can never be a sub for a cage. i believe you can find it at surf board shops or boat shops.
My sprinter has the chassis rails filled with the stuff as well as being seam stitch welded and a full tower to tower CrMo roll cage, probably one of the stiffest sprinters in the country, but i wouldnt just have the urethene alone if your after stiffness, its good but not that good.
