    G'day...

I know this is an obscure request...
I have searched and observed club 4ag forums but the pinouts are not clear enough...

Does anyone have a pic of the inside of an ecu - showing markings for pins...

    Regards

i think the difference is between jap and aus, is jap ones have a white chip not black... thats what ive been told...

if your asking for pictures for reasons other than telling the difference, ive probly wasted your time...

    Thanks fellas .....

I think as rthy says that the pin outs are similar, I need a pic to see EXACTLY where the difference is - 1 or 2 pins I think...

I have a power fc to suit an ae86 which is wired the same as the jap spec ecu....I am reluctant to plug it in in case I bugger something up....

    regards

Page is from the Toyota 4AGE TCCS diagnosis manual.

Impossible to get a photo of the pin designations as it is too small, at least with my camera.

    I have double checked the pinouts on this actual ECU. In case it is too hard to read, the hand written ones are from RIGHT top line;

    NSW (10 pin), VISC, OX (18 pin), L1, L3, ECT O/D, CCO (14 pin)

The bottom line of the 14 pin is EGW

The two blank squares in the 10 pin and 18 pin respectively are unmarked inside the ECU.

Sorry I can't save the pictured rotated

Not sure how well that came out so all of them are

    Top row from right

    E01, No.10, STA, blank, NSW (10 pin); VISC, OX, G-, G1, IGf, T, THA, PIM, THW (18 pin); L1, L3, ECT O/D, Fc, CCO, Batt, +B1 (14 pin)

    Bottom row from right

    E02, No.20, IGt, E1, BF (10 pin): VSV1, VF, E21, Ne, blank, IDL, Vcc, VTA, E2 (18 pin); VAF, FS, SPD, A/C, EGW, W, +B (14 pin)

Both the blank pins do have an actual pin, they just aren't labelled.

As you will note, the handwritten ones do not appear on the printed page but can be deciphered easily enough, especially by looking at other ECU pinouts which use the same codes and are actually used for other engines.

The ECT O/D is obviously from the automatic computer, OX is oxy sensor for example
