good point haha im just going to have to deal with it
hey well there's always lil things you can do while serivicing it to make it run that lil bit better
like getting one of those oldschool carby open element air filters are meant to help, but i've never tried this when I had a 4ac.
better engine oil helps (but i think this was mainly a psychological thing)
using good clean sparkplugs helps too..
and having it tuned is never bad, especially if you tune it for 98 octane and run it on that
but to spin the rears easier maybe pump them up really hard :]

wow
can you run 98 octane feul in the 4ac????
Wont it make pinging noises in the car??
has any one tried 98 octane in a 4AC????
Cheers
ive done a complete service on it changed the dizzie to electronic new cap, rotor new ngk plugs penrite hpr30 oil, oil filter air filter fuel filter new bosch coil pack but tuning the carby i havent done i normaly run the car on shell100 it is running rich black smoke not alot but but the carby is proberbly letting me down ill c how i go after the carby tuning
ive had my car on 100 octane runs million times better then the cheap shit no noisers no pinging
I put that stuff in whenever I need to overtake![]()
thanks guys
Cheers
this might sound stupid but the point i was just tyring to make is that getting it running to original spec might be all you're after.. rather than going out and upgrading the carbs or whatever..
i mean sure that'd help, but your carbs are probably wayyy outta tune. or dirty, blocked up otherwise not running right, that's all the point i was trying to make.
And yeah if it's running rich I'd say it'd be down on power just a tad
