    i get my licence in a couple of months and i want a little bit of power from my 4ac and reading threw this forums ive noticed my 4ac doesnt go as good as some of the peoples rides in this forum what are some mods i can do anything for a little bit more power just to spin second on 16 by 7s dont mension engine transplants not doing this convertion for couple years

    hey well there's always lil things you can do while serivicing it to make it run that lil bit better

    like getting one of those oldschool carby open element air filters are meant to help, but i've never tried this when I had a 4ac.

    better engine oil helps (but i think this was mainly a psychological thing)

    using good clean sparkplugs helps too..

    and having it tuned is never bad, especially if you tune it for 98 octane and run it on that

    but to spin the rears easier maybe pump them up really hard :]

    wow
    can you run 98 octane feul in the 4ac????
    Wont it make pinging noises in the car??
    has any one tried 98 octane in a 4AC????

    on the contrary, typically the higher the octane the less likely a car is to ping... the upside with running higher octane fuel all the time is you can advance your timing a little further, will give a little more power

    ive done a complete service on it changed the dizzie to electronic new cap, rotor new ngk plugs penrite hpr30 oil, oil filter air filter fuel filter new bosch coil pack but tuning the carby i havent done i normaly run the car on shell100 it is running rich black smoke not alot but but the carby is proberbly letting me down ill c how i go after the carby tuning

    ive had my car on 100 octane runs million times better then the cheap shit no noisers no pinging
