    try a turbo from a ca18det or an rb20det.

one of these should suit your application. i may be able to get you a smallish turbo, ill have to see if its still in my other shed. if its there then ill let you know bout price.

it will also help to get a decent carby setup. either a carby designed for drawthrough or a SU type setup.

both would be good. especially the carby.

im not sure on when the boost would start coming in strong with that turbo on a 1.6lt. would probably do the job tho.

as they say "its all trial and error"

If you want a touch more power without spending a cent heres what to do - get the lid of your air cleaner (stocker) and put it on backwards. The rubber seal still sits on the filter so u dont end up with unfiltered air going through it either. You will need to lose the clips that are supposed to hold the lid down as well or they will rattle and drive you insane!

Another thing that I did was removed the snorkel of the front of the air cleaner (undid the top 2 screws then snapped it off at the bottom). You will need to block off the choke type thing or emissions crap or whatever it is in the snorkel as well, I stuck an old screw in the vacuum line to take care of that.

Opens it up heaps in the top end, will even go to 7500rpm if your brutal enough (and I am at times). For the price of 5 minutes and an old screw you can't go far wrong!

lmao tryed this and it has been very good but 7500rpm no way this is my daily for a year or so i wont be hitting this rpm lmao the turbo wont be happaning having a hard time sourcing parts. is $200 a bit to much for a t25g turbo with no actuator and no dumppipe?

Yeah I don't recommend going to 7500rpm on a regular basis. My water pump gasket blew yesterday and I think that may have been the reason (w/pump spinning to buggery at this rpm) but a bottle of stop leak fixed it! 6500 is about as hard as you really need to push it in my opinion, that said mine has a stocker exhaust as well, will prob be getting an exhaust system in the next few weeks, will let you know how it goes.

Again, an exhaust is something that can be reused when you move up to a 4age if you do it right so it's not like your wasting money.
