Thread: Cutting/Welding tie rods :)

    Ok...im at a point where im about to upgrade the front of my hatchi to s13 coilies and brakes...and it all bolts up except the tie rod ends are too short and the "pin" part is too thin....therefore it rattles around..

    someone sugested to me that i should cut half of a s13 tie rod with half of my sprinter one and sleave it and weld it back together....i am a bit worried about how strong this can be so i guess im after some opinions or other paths people have taken to overcome this problem

    hey mate. have you checked out these.....





    looks like they are using either ra40 tierod ends or a custom rack featuring nissan parts.
    check it out!

    cheers mate...yeah i was aware of the first one..but that doesent work all that well...the second one is gold but...really appreciated...i just hope there is enough adjustment as im gonna be running s13 arms...
