I brought footy's sprinter and as some of you's might know, it was more a drift car (stripped).

the highbeam is always on, I want to replace it so it clicks on/off high beam

I cant seem to get the highbeam off when driving at night. haha

does the indicator stalk click into the high beam posi?
are the high beams on all the time or do your low beams not work ?
if yeah dash dun work maybe wiring is something you should check before you buy another part that may not solve your problem.

I had similar problems with the high beam in my old honda and am having something very similar again happenign in my ae71. I dare say that your combination switch (blinker and wiper arms are all in one in these I'm pretty sure, like my ae71) has worn out, much liek mine, and isn't making contact. If you replace that I'm pretty sure it will fix it?

On a related note, if anyone has a combo switch for an ae71/ke70 pm me!! (sorry to hijack, please carry on)

Alot of these switches are very similar between 80's toyotas. I have one out of an 80's celica (can't remember which model exactly) in my sprinter with the twisty light switch on the end. It works fine for clicking the highbeams and I still have the lights on the normal dial, the one on the end of the stalk doesn't do anything.
