My 16v sits at about 80psi when cold at idle. About 50 at hot idle, sometimes as low as 30.
Depends on your idle speed too, if its at 2000rpm you'll get higher pressure than at 1000rpm.
What's it at when your cruising at 2500rpm?
Yeh ive done a search, Just wondering the oil psi that a 4age usualy runs at? Ive instald an oil pressure gauge and on idle its sitting around the 90psi mark this is the 2nd gauge that has done this, 2 different brands. Also even with the stock gauge it always sat above the 3/4 on idle. Is mine a freak???

freaky.... mine was still at 90 warm. Might have to re install it and take it for a thrash and really get it warm.
what grade of oil ?
penrite hpr 30 i think its 20-70
20w-60, i reckon if its thicker it would hav more psi ?
Yes
my bluetop runs valvolene full synth 5w- 50
220,000 kms
used to run penrite hpr 30 in there, but its just too thick for a 4age.
good oil, dont get me wrong, just too thick for 4age's.
runs about 30psi hot @ 800 rpm
runs 80 psi hot @ redline
runs > 50psi from 2000 rpm hot.
cold @ 2200 idle runs 75psi
the theory goes 10psi oil pressure for every 1K rpm. - 8K = 80 psi
just too thick for 4age's thats a first, does ur engine blow any smoke wit the 5w - 50 ?
not an ounce of smoke.
220,000 km, serviced every 5000-7500km from new.
I did run penrite hpr30 in there for a while, but it was way too
thick and wouldn't rev. I had a mate with an identical car that did
run penrite in his engine - it just lacked the 4age "zing"
good oil for bigger engines though.
