lookin at a mini spool cntre for ma old diff (will go in to pass rego, which will be locked straight after ).
a few questions if i may.
does it just go in place of the gears inside the centre?
how do you remove the gears?
how many axle splines does an rt142 CSi model toyota corona have?
and how the hell do i open the diff centre!? its completely closed over
thanx people. one day i will eventually get this thing locked

    Remove diff nose.
Unbolt crown wheel from diff centre.
Dispose of the rest of the diff centre in the nearest bin.
    Bolt crown wheel onto spool.
Install spool and crown wheel into diff nose.
    Reinstall diff centre.

My advice would be to forget buying something to lock your diff and just weld it. Cheaper and easier to do. And whichever way you go it is dodgy.
