silencers do nothing
i wouldnt kno bout my the previous owner put a freakin cannon on it n i havnt been able to locate a silencer yet. Forget getting a headache looking for things i get a headache starting the thing

if your cars quiet then you havent been working on ya car propaly
especially with an 86...they aren't meant to be built to be comfortable.
If you want comfort buy a new car with stock suspension
Never put leather seats in your car, can always hear them rubbing and leather gear shifter cover, everytime you chage it rubs
I have one part that vibrates , my rear view mirror,have to touch it every 5 mins to make it stop and my left window will rattle if its not done up to the max.
Can also hear gearbox box lol
Pretty good since i stripped it and left about 2 kilos of bolts left over haha
If u guys wana quiet your cars down, use expanding foam if ur not against it.
I filled up side part of my shell, where that vent is inside your door wells. and done my doors and going to do the roof and back soon.
Makes difference, car sounds more solid and ur only added like 1500grams weight to it.
You could go crazy and fill up every gap u see, imagine be pretty solid sounding car lol
I guess im in the norm then.
Windows rattle, gear box, ash try, glove box..
But yeh I guess the exhaust hides it and if not , opening the windows/music will.
Oh yeah, my ash tray rattles but I think that's because of a light bulb in there. Stuffed if I know what the bulb's for, it was in there when I bought it.
