    Hey,

I just bought my new t18 complete diff and tailshaft. I know that you need to grind off the old mounts from the S series diff but i dont know how to wield (of have a weilder). Does anyone know where i can get it done?

I asked a local machanic today and he looked at me with a scared look and said dont do it . Told me it was unsafe and not worth it. So now i dont know who i can go to, to wield my mounts.

as long as the welder is competent and the surfaces are nice and clean etc then there is no reason that it should be weaker than the factory setup.

Find someone who is handy with a MIG like maybe an exhaust shop or someone.

Yeah i guess i could ask a mate to do it. Just the remark from the machanic made me a bit weary about the strength. Ill get back to you guys if i encounter any more problems.

    Cheers,

    Lee
