recently the shanty boys purchased a bare ass ke 70 with out a engine so with tha in mind we
decided to build a 4age dori track car.
none of us really no what we are doing so we are making it up as we go so far all the interior
has been stripped the engine bay has been seam rivited an painted in the famous shanty purple.
the rear parcel shelf an the back seat gap(i dont no what to call it) that goes through to the boot
have had sheet mettel rivited an sicoflexed to it for the fuel cell that sits in the boot to stop any
fumes getting through in to the car. the boot has had the fuel cell bracket welded in an the boot is
now all painted once again in shanty purple and has also been riveted. now we are in the midst of
welding a cage in wich we are half way through then the inside will be painted and rivited.
also putting a couple of fixed back buckets with harnesses too. the rear doors have been cut out for wieght reduction and will have perspex windows in as the quater window pillers have been cut out. the exterior of the car will also be painted in shanty purple with all the gaurds flared out to suit we are also thinking of making a 86 vertex fit by re modling it in some way. the suspension we are going to get some 86 camber tops and super hard spring not shore on the rate yet though
the engine that we accuired through a swap is a ae92 4age which we intend to eventually put quad
throttle bodies and trumpets on and some other goodies on to but for the car to run we need a hole
heap of other bits like fly wheel clutch gear box tail shaft altinator cross members an so on... thats all i can think of about at the moment but will post up progress............

Woudn't you put the fuel cell further foward to try keep the car balanced better?

Looks like its coming together nicely..
Why hesitate when you can accelerate???

we put the fuel cell were it is so when it is straped down we can pull it out easily without completly undoing the straps and because we can fill it up at the filler easier
