3.5deg neg camber, 3.8 caster, and a lil bit of toe out cant remember how much.
howdy...
just wondering those of you that actually race or seriously drift your car
do you change the alignments for both?
who runs toe in?
who runs toe out?
how much caster do people run?
what are your specs?
post away...
as for me, 2 degrees neg, neutral toe, 3.3 degrees pos caster
i want a tad more camber and maybe a smidge more caster, i like neutral toe....
3.5deg neg camber, 3.8 caster, and a lil bit of toe out cant remember how much.
^ whats bent lolz
1deg neg camber, 4deg caster, 0.5mm toe in to save the tyres while driving on the road. Toeing out is the fastest way to wear out tyres, but it makes the car turn in so good. and yeah 6-7mm toe out on your live axle means your axle is probably bent.
toe out on rear would make her really unstable at speed wouldnt it. might find ur housing is bent.
2.8deg neg camber, 0.5deg neg toe, 2.5deg + caster, and front track is widened 25mm each side. rear is unstable with high speed entry, which will soon be rectified with 20mm spacers
lol @ anything other than neutral toe on rear haha, something is wrong there
i ran max positive castor from standard castor rods, max negative camber from cusco camber tops and neutral toe on the front. very scientific haha![]()
Just read the Whiteline recommended specs for AE86 alignment, they reckon 0mm toe, max caster and -1.5deg camber. This is not necessarilly a drift/race setup, but an interesting starting point.
I set mine on
Front:
2.8 neg camber
7 castor
5 toe OUT
Rear
1.5 neg camber (only 1 degree if i use 17's)
0.5 toe IN
These are on my S13, but the basic principles are the same.
I have found that toe OUT on the front is very beneficial for turn in and allowing that little bit of extra lock when it is needed most. The toe IN on the rear also gives a slight increase in rear traction allowing for more speed.
