engine rebuilds

is there any good places where i can get my engine rebuilt. Ive quoted $2200 for a red small port rebuilt with 256 cams, is there any where cheaper than this. Because I can rebuild it my self but i dont know what pistons and crank adjustments you need to do

dont get confused by a rebuild versus reconditioned prices. rebuild can mean anything from a coat of paint upwards. reconditoned has a definite meaning under the Australian Standard
No-one can quote on a rebuild until your engine is apart, unless they are jsut assuming new rings, bearings etc.
I have reconditioned 4AG's in stock and will happily rebuild or reconditon yours.
if you want to rebuild it yourself, I can do the cleaning, maching etc and supply parts, and you can assemble it
