Thread: Those Flare guards

    hey there people

    i've been lookiin at heaps of pics of the hachi, and notice some have the flare guards.. and some have the mega flare guards that got like the pop rivet holdin em .. just wondering, do people sell these guards or make em .. or roll their guards ?

    the rolled ones most people do themselves. i have done a couple.

    The riveted on ones are sold as a bolt on flare form several companies. For the budget minded, go the DIY rollies!

    Yeah a good pair of pliers..

    You can buy a proper guard rollling tool which bolts to your hub and an arm rolls the guard as you move the arm around inside the wheel arch..

    They are about $200 odd.. but once you do a few mates cars you have made your money back..

    nar, there fuckin bullshit, dont give ya a heap more clearance.

    As Brizey said, multigrips and bog. Its the way to do shit man. Get Primer filler for a superior finish is my best tip.

    i reckon hand flared gaurds look aweful, bolt ons for the win! (but not N2 ones)

    Mines hand flared by the previous owner.
    Looks alright but I think the wheel arches looks heaps better.

    soft hammer and dolly, take guard off and smack from the inside out whilst rotating the guard to get a smooth even finish

    looks good and gives a shite load more clearance as the inside is pushed out a bit
