LCA bushes

Hey guys,

Changing lower control arms on the rolla and having an absolute c**t of a time with it.

Are there any tricks to it???????

It seems as though the bush is just far to wide for the crossmember.

Also are the bushes ment to have a metal tube through them cos that is gouging into the crossmember and thats why it wont go in.

It is a ae71 and had sigma arms in it. i have taken them out (for roady) and tried putting in standard ke70 ones (no luck), tried corona arms (no luck).

Please help me im going fucking nuts i dont understand

i know u have to shave the sigma arms bushes to make em fit, but i thought (in 86's that is), that the Corona ones dont have to be modified at all to fit?

but something doesnt seem right as the stock ones wont fit back in?!?!

thanks to david he just gave me an idea.

When nico put the sigma arms in he took out the metal thing in the bush instead of grinding it down a bit. So wen he did the bolt up with the bush no metal the tabs on the crossmember squeezed in.

Yay i think this will sort out the problem. Now i need to stretch the tabs back out some how

i am super genius!!!!!!! use a big ass shifter and pinch the tabs, then lean on the f*ckers till they bend out
