ok... new problem, i love this car...

so... after ive got the map sensor wiring fixed, figured out why the timings not right, changed the ecu cause thats fuked, filled the petrol in my car cause it got ciphened the night before, charged my battery cause that died, now i get home from tafe and i have a huge assed puddle underneath my car.

im sure you can understand im not too happy.

i Got the line that goes from the fuel tank and then up to the charchol canister, and the you have the line that goes from the bottom of the charchol canister through the chasis rail... and i have fuel litereally pouring from there.

    what do i do?
im seriously breaking down here this car has been nothing but problems.

what?? the charcol canister is only ment to be connected to the tank breather.. no actuall fuel should come from there.. just vapour.. and there 'should' be a 3mm vac hose connecting that to the throttle body..

you migh have accidentally used the wrong pipe at the tank!

i had the same problem, mine was that i had mixed up the breather and return lines, and fuel pressure was building up in the tank and squirting it out the charcoal can.

I agree with matty and bahnugget, many people (including me) use the standard lines to supply/return fuel to the engine. The tip tho, is that if you do use the breather line on the car (note - NOT the tank) you have to swap the lines at the tank cap pickup thingo.

Just a hint, the tank breather is the long swoopy one on the pickup cap...

pipe at the tank is correct. i havent changed anything about that except for the actual line between that. The return and supply lines use the correct ports as well so i know its not that.

matty im not sure why i had fuel coming from there but i know when i didnt have the charchol canister hooked up (line was just open from tank - proper port and all) and fuel tended to leak up there when the tank heated up.

what i have now is fuel dripping down from the chasis rail, right next to where the cross member is... i dunno if its the fuel line from the charchol canister or what but there is fuel commming out of it.
ii have since this arvo undone the plug on the bottom of the fuel tank and drained the bloody thing so i dont have it any more... but i have to find out whats going on.
BTW for all who dont know the car, this was taken way back when the motor wasnt in... so it doesnt look like this atm

Here have a look at this pic

i think the line into the chassis rail doesnt connect to anything, i think thats where it vents to atmosphere.

there should not be fuel in either of those lines. the one from the tank just has gas/fumes in it and the one that goes into the chassis rail should just have air or whatever is left over after carbon cannister does its job

the yellow one is the purge line from the canister, its supposed to go into the chassis rail..

but the feed to your charcoal canister should connect to the breather on the tank.. there should only be vapour in there

    fuk....

so the line going from the bottom of the canister just ends in the rail??

that would explain alot. Anyone have any idea why i have fuel going into my canister then? its connected to the exact port that it had originally with 4ac

i take back what i said... my memory was clouded about what i did with this.
i have not changed that line at all

    the lines i changed was:

the original brass feeder become the new return... and the old return got chucked in the bin.
so i have no idea why i would have fuel coming up the charchol line... i cannot remember if i even dissconnected the line from the port on the tank. I certainly cannot see why i would have needed to.

so now i gotta figure out why fuel would have reason to come up the charchol line at all..
