ae71 5spd same as ae86 5spd

the ae71 and the ae86 are these gearboxes the same ?????
i read somewere there is a 20 spline and a 22 spline is this true???

i have a ae71 t50 in my ae86, seems to be fine (all bolting in also)

also have run ae71 t-50 behind the gze, im sure they are identical

i think from memory T18 T50's are are the ones that don't fit in AE86's.. but my memory's crap, lol.

im buying a ae71 for spare......just wanted to make sure the gearbox was the same before i got it

correct t18 output shaft is different

ADM AE86 and AE71's are the same.

But JDM AE86 T50's are different, i don't know what's different though.

jdm t50's have different bellhousing. clutch fork, slave cylinder etc is on the drivers side. aus ae86 and ae71 have same gb as they have the same engine. both fit 4age too
