Pfft, and Dave thought he was cool with his 4act.
Never seen a turbo 4k before, what sorta power are you making?
More info please!
not making a great deal of power at the moment cos i only just finished it last weekend. its missing in higher revs at the moment, needs a dam good tune up yet but once that is done it should be decent... not sure on power figures dont really wanna guess cos ill be wrong. i mite get a dyno run in when its tuned then ill let you all know.
more info...
instead of daves 4act suck thru set up this is a blow through which allowes a cooler and a bov and maybe a bit more complicated dunno really tho cos havnt looked much into suck thru setups.
for it to work the dizzy needs to be locked so it doesnt open out when revving high... if it does this then headgaskettes simply die. mine is locked with cable ties! apparantly using a electronic dizzy solves this problem tho.
using blow thru the fuel pressure has to be at least 2psi above boost pressure... hence the carter black fuel pump. if its lower than boost psi then fuel will be blow back down the line and youll run out of fuel.
another way of getting around this is using a rising rate carby-turbo fuel pressure reg and a efi fuel pump and lift pump setup. my fuel setup is basically just a way of avoiding the problem... hoping to get a reg soon tho. apart from advancing timiing thats pretty much all the engine mods that have to be done before itll work. also have to make sure air cant escape the carby by blocking/connecting all vaccum lines or you can put the carbie in a sealed box so there is equal pressure around the whole thing.
thats about it really just did it cos i wanted to... doesnt cost too much, and a mate did the same thing who gave alot of advice and helped out heaps.
Nice set up!
What sort of front lip is that? It looks hot!

Had a scout around, I think it might be a Streeter by Streeter front lip for an ae82
