my question is
if i buy a normal sprinter oz standard
with a 4ac engine
and buy a Toyota Trueno with the 4agze engine i think thats the one
from the wreackers

would it be as simple as plug and play?? job
tranfering all the looms and stuff no need for custom stuff??

if u get a trueno its an ae86 already.what i think u meant with the 4agze is the mr2 aw11..besides its almost impossible to get a trueno from wreckers let alone sprinters..

basically the 4age is the common engine to drop into aus sprinter, coz they came with 1 in other countries..basically plug and play but you also have to get the fuel pump sorted out..coz carb runs very low pressure fuel compared to EFI

you know there are ALOT more AE92 truenos running round in Aust that ae86's....they kept the trueno name for quite some time...and yes..some came out with a gze.

Like the others have said.. Pretty much do a shit load of googling and learn more about the ae86 before you attempt an engine conversion.

wikipedia has a good segment on the 86, try reading all of that.

yea even before you start deciding about engine conversions, learn to drive your adm sprinter to its limits, then when your ready for more power upgrade to a jdm ge

oh yeah, ur not ganna find anything from local wrECkers, there is a 2% chance of finding sprinter stuff (but better off with import wreckers)

take my word for it, be realistic, i wanted a ae86 when i was 14 so bad, i brought one when i was 15, then when i was 16 i thought i could do a engine conversion and this car will only cost me 6g all up, im 17 now i have a ca18det powered 86, its sick, but is it practical, no. and is it road worthy, no. and did it cost me 6g, no. know i have a car thats cost me 15g and no way to get to work next month when i turn 18, research it. ask questions, and if no one wants to help then there dicks anyway, if you've got any questions im willing to help, cant have the have you getting a lancer or some crap.
