big fuses - what do they do?

ok. i sort of know, but the dodgy kent that did the conversion before i bought it made an abortion of the wiring. now im trying to fix it up and need some help with where the wires should come and go to.

this is the fuse box in question. its on the +ve terminal


the fuses are 80a on far left and 40 in the middle. the right one has a wiring going out, but nothing coming in.
i assume the 80a comes from the B+?



this is the wiring on the back of the box. the two white wires on the left side come from the same place. they go from one wire into two. i think they go to the B+ as one goes into the 80a.

the third white wire from the left comes out of the 40a and splits into two. one of these goes to the three wire plug on the back of the alternator (for voltage sense i think)

the other wire goes into the body fuse box with the wire that comes from the 80a and also goes into the body fues box.

does this look ok to others that have done the conversion? i think i will replace the fuse and put new wiring there.

well if my memory serves me correctly then one of them goes to the main power output of the alternator

they are fuses. the end one is just missing the cover.
it dont really look dodgy thats how they all look.

one should be for the alternater charge.
one should supply power to the main fuse box. these usually blow if you jump start the car or a large power supply goes through them

the red with the black trace also goes into the main fuse box and it looks like it supplies power. but there is nothing that goes into that fuse to give it power.....is that how its suppossed to be????

they have a direct connection to the battery terminal they are bolted to, that is their supply
