    camber tops same as AE86

no real decent springs available for KE70. if you can find them get a pair of 86 struts then you can get decent shock and springs. ke70 strut tube diameter is smaller than AE86, and springs are different.

rear end is the same though.

other options are s13 coilover conversion for the front or aftermarket coilovers designed for an ae86, only thing with 86 stuff is you will then need 86 steering arms (more $$)

check tech articles for the s13 coilover conversion thread.

if you use AE86 strut tops in a KE70 (without fitting them to opposite sides - hole redrilling required etc) you will lose heaps of caster. this will pretty much negate any camber increase you get from adjustable camber tops.

so by putting 86 struts in an ae71 you loose heaps of caster? cant you just adjust the caster rods? Im wondering as we have just done this to my brothers car.

KE70 and AE86 strut tops are the same EXCEPT that the KE70 tops give you more caster. Basically the top of the strut is mounted about 10mm closer to the rear of the car than the AE86 strut top.

So if you are swapping to AE86 struts, keep the KE70 strut tops and you're laughing.

You can adjust the caster rods, but you may max them out and also you'll get to the point where your LCA is pulled forward a long way.

Yeah in my 71 i've got 86 camber tops and i lost quite a bit of caster. My caster is maxxed out at about 3 degrees.

WTF? i wheel aligned my car today n only got 3 deg of caster, maxxed out too

hmm if i put those camber tops in i might lose it back to like 1 deg hahahaha.

it'd feel like a statesman or some shit, with the wack power steering
