recently (read yesterday) aquired S13 coilovers...
Now I want to remove the camber tops and replace them with the T3 ones I have...
but I cant remove the nut that holds the shock in place.. as everything just spins when I turn it... if the coilovers were installed and the strut bolts were in the holes then it might be different... but the shock itself seems to just spin as well...
I dont have a vice or anything to hold them so its kinda difficult to remove the nuts...

    any ideas..

    Cheers

    Niz.........

dont got one of them either lol.......... the thing is though you cant hold onto the shockie to stop it turning when you try and loosen the nut, as the spring is in the way...

when i removed mine, i jsut got some multi grips and attached them super tight to the plate thing on the top, and somehow wedged it so it couldnt turn, was a bit of a bugger to do, but worked

Inventive wedging or rattle gun. I ended up buying a compressor etc. and have just come in from getting one off that I couldn't budge. Don't be tempted to grip the piston. If your springs are too short to hold the top plate in plece, there isn't any option. Take the strut down to a garage with the right socket and ask nicely.
