fuel sender float

Hey dudes, i removed my fuel sender and bent the sender to make contact with the coil thingo. anyways that wasnt really the problem, because i think my float isnt floating correctly. Where can i get a replacement besides toyota, do any other cars share the same float or arm?

I called toyota, they say an entire new sender costs $225+ gst and takes 3 weeks to get here. They dont sell the float because it comes as a whole assembly.

Any help would be appreciated
