you know having heat wrap on there is a good thing...and im guessing the manifold looks alot worse with the heat wrap off![]()
Problem:
As you can see, this turbo manifold that is meant to be ready made for 4age engines conflicts with the CAS on this series 2 4agze. I've also tried it on an na smallport and it interferes slightly with the dizzy.
The clash is minor (ie. if I took that ugly heat tape off it might fit), but what options do I have here? Are there any other CASs that I can use? Or do people suggest modding the manifold slightly?
Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.

Haha, I'm not sure actually, I've never taken it off.
Anyone got any ideas?
i had the same problem bort a cas and a microtech computer
Depending on where it needs to sit, you may be ok. You wont know untill you do the timing. Leave the heat shield stuff on.
differant dizzys have differant orientations of where the bolts that hold the cap on sit, so that might help, there are actually about 5 differant variations of dizzy cap atleast just for big port.
if youre using factory management you wont have complete freedom of choice to use any 4a dizzy, but for example you could use a small port dizzy on a late MAP sensor gze managment.

Ok, well I will be using aftermarket management. Sounds like I will have a bit of room to muck around with. Worse case I'll cut off that runner and re-position it.
with my motec i can oreintate the dizzy however i want by changing the cRip.
where does it foul on the smallport dizzy?
