everythings pretty stock right now except your typical chassis braces and coilovers but im planning on swapping to something more powerful and redoing the suspension from there.

this is my fourth AE86...i also have a white AE86 hatch (in the background in the last pic), a red coupe, and a red hatch.

    Nice! That's a few hachi's
Any ideas on engine swap? 20v? or something a little bigger?
What's pricing like on AE86's over your side of the planet?

I don't know hard it is over there for you guys to find these cars, but they're fetching a pretty hefty price over here right now. About 4-5 years ago, a 4-AC powered Corolla would be around $500-$600 USD and a 4AGE one would be around $1,000-$2,000 USD. Now with the US drift scene, a 4AC one is about $2,000 USD and a 4AGE one is around $4,000 USD. Luckily for me, I've had these AE86's for a while so I didn't have to pay as much for them.

Motorwise, I've already done the 20V swap (on the white one), but I was utilizing the stock 16V harness and matching it up with the 20V harness, so I was not able to retain usage of the heater core and had to bang out the firewall a bit. I was in a rush to complete it.

I'm researching the RB25DET swap, which led me to this forum. The only RB25DET Sprinter I know of in existence is in Australia.

Hmmm, rb25 is a big, heavy motor man, ruin the point of an ae86.
In my opinion that is. There was a blue rb25det ae86 out at a drit day once, was hell fast but drifted fairly woefully.

Well 247R AE86 does have 4 86s lol, so i think at least one is done right! Then he can muck around with the rest, its not like he doesnt know what an 86 "should" be like, just wants something different yes?
RB25 swap would be awesome, do it man.
There are 1JZ/2JZ Hachis about which are pretty good, i think mostly drag cars though.

But yeah Good luck with it, would be nuts!

how about an SR20 instead? although I guess they are pretty pricey in the states since your S14/13's were fitted with dirty k20DE's or whatever/
