Sup chaps.
So any ways, my income is that of any engine builder / reconditioner. Prolblem is, we don't tend to deal with many toyota motors (funny that) I was just wondering, as I haven't had the parts / time to measure this, what is the compression ratio acheived by placing a 20V head on a 7A bottom end? What ECu are people with 7age / 7agte using?
The good thing with this is, is I get ocst price parts and free labour. Pretty sick, eh?? I was just wondering who could point me in the right direction to get some thing like this running.
Oh, oh oh!! Before I forget what flywheel / clutch combo are youse using? This bit has me stumped, remeber, I only know about engines.
Heres what I'm aiming for:
7A block bored 040 to give total capacity f 19**cc, 20 V Head (what cams would you recomend... as like says most of what we build are Mitsi's, Holdens and Fords) Froged pistonsand compression of around 9:5:1 / 10:1, H beam rods, full arp stud kit (Head studs, main cap bolts, fly wheel bolts, conrod bolts which will prolly come with the rods) port polish head, valves, valve springs... I hope to go second hand with things like manifolds etc...
Sorry to write such a huge spiel, but any info youse dudes could give me will be greatly appreciated.. and if it's good advice, I'll buy ya beer.
Thanks in advance, love
Damien.

i got hard
from the engine specs, not the photo..........
you will either have to get some custom inlet cam made or source some, cause they have extra lobe to run the 5th valve.
going for aftermarket pistons might give you dramas too, as the factory ones have the special cuts for the valves. although if you got some dished pistons to lower the comp, you may be alright.
you will definetly have to do something with the matchstick rods, they dont like the revs too much.
what car is it for? i presume an 86. i would be using a W series gearbox with a niteparts bellhousing. this will give you the edge to use the larger flywheel. a decent pressure plate is needed. im using an extreme 4 puck with my s/c setup.
im using a microtech which seems to be ok. either that or an autronic should see you right for a good ECU. that will keep you in budget also.
My eyes.
they burn!!
Hahahah you look like my sister. Except her underarms have more hair.
Yes club 4ag has the goods, or you could ask irish sexy16.

I'm not to sure that anyone would accept you buying them a beer ...CREEP !
haha !
I can do ALL the machining myself. All parts will be cost price. I was budgeting 4/5K anyways.
We'll see how it goes..
