no where you want the biggest increase from the air tuning. Ok let me phrase it another way, if you were to gain power one only one part of your rev range where would it be?
u mean like pick where i want my peak power to be???, sorry i got no idea when it comes to tuned length shit lol

well the rev range where i would want to make more power would be around anywhere from 5krpm to 8500rpm
ok so a mid point would then be around 6800, which is close to what stock is, so when you get some aftermart trumpets make sure you get the same length, which isnt easy. Also sorry if I missed it but how are you going to filter your air?

i'm officially interested in this acoustic tuning now sam
my current engine and the "later" engine both run a quad throttle setup
interested as to what would be the ideal trumpet size, what sort of details would you need or can you point me in the right direction??
might even be worth starting a tech article on this
ok kool i can get cheap custom trumpets made so i may get a few sets in different lengths and experiment with dyno runs, as for filtering ill just run uni filter sox
experimenting on a dyno is a great idea, if you can print each run and post it here it would be awesome. As for the socks you might want to do a dyno run before and after that too, I hear they are very restrictive. Also if you want decent length trumpets you will need to curve them, one way around it to go the way I did: use 2 inch exhaust pipe and bends.
Gilly: yeah maybe I should do a tech article on it. I will see what I can do ok

sorry brendon my memory was off, the standard 20v trumpets are tuned for 5000, I will work out the right length for you when I can.
Also I whipped up a quick dodgy article:

legend Sam!!
update it at your leisuregiven me something to play around with
i have more questions but i'll ask them in the tech article
i see i jut read your article, looking forward to it being updated, very good info man
