damn i hope these dont get to popular...
i can feel they will be the new xr4's!!!!
Ok, I've read the posts about fitting 15x8 -4 Superlites to a Sprinter - but there was a distinct lack of pictures in those threads, especially with them fitted to the front of cars with flared guards.
Does anyone have any pics of a Sprinters with 15x8 -4 wheels all round or at least on the front so I can get an idea how they will fit with my hand flared guards?![]()

go to the bottom of this thread. heaps of pics.
whether they fit really depends on your heights, on the whit car above they obviously fit alright at the front and back. my car is pretty low and would foul on standard guards. i rolled and flared mt fronts to fit (using S13 LCA's too which are longer) rears had to be flared as well but still touch. i have bolt on flares for the back now. i can't do much metal work, if you flare the rears properly (check JoelAE86's thread) they would fit
Aaaahhhh.. yeah thats what I needed!
Yes they are close on the front, I have flared my front guards and will be using adjustable strut tops with some decent neg camber - but I'll probably be running 225/50 tyresI can see this maybe being an issue on thr front!
Here are my front guards:

someone did have the superlights 15x8 -4's all round (was a white levin)
rears need slight flearing as seen on my black ae86.
fronts also need some work to stop rubbing (see link for fronts)

i can see 225's being the biggest issue on the front. i would run a 205 max. remember i have the S13 front end which adds someting like 20 - 30mm track at the front per side, so the fronts for me are very close to the flared guards with camber tops all the way in. i think in your case you should be fine, your guards appear to be the same width as mine (yours are nice and tidy though!!) they'll fit, i don't know about 225's though bit wide for the rim in my opinion, are they a circuit tyre or something?
Why 225's? Stretch 195/50's on them.....
Yeah I will be running R specs for the track - I'm hoping to get hold of some used sets from the 944 Porsche Challenge series, they use 15x8 with 225/50 Advans.
I'll more than likely be running some AJPS coilovers on the front so the track shouldnt be effected? I think I'll just have to bite the bullet and see how they go, hopefully nothing I wont be able fix with some more belting on the guards!![]()
That's my car in the first pic. To fit the wheels without rubbing I rolled the lip of the guards with a bit of steel pipe. The 205's I had on it first still rubbed with a full car or on hard bumpy corner. My current 195's dont rub at all.
Highlife, I strongly suggest going to 195s. 225s will give you problems with the standard guards. Plus 195s sit on the wheel much nicer and give a better look imo. If you really really must run 225s, you will need some proper guard modifcation, not just rolling the inner lip. What you've done might be sufficient. Just a matter of fitting it up and seeing how it goes.

..yeah its more a cost/sustainability thing - this is a track car, it will only ever use R specs or possibly full slicks, I'd prefer to have a cheap supply of used track tyres or at least a commonly available size of R spec instead of having to fork out $$$$ or trying to track down a size that is hard to find in an R-Spec every time I need a new set, which is reasonably often when running these soft compounds.![]()
I have flared the guards a fair amount and might be able to get a bit more out of them so I think I'll just bolt them up and see what I need to do.![]()
