4KC will be cheaper but not really a step in the right direction.
its not so much the cost of the engine and box with the 4AGE conversion into the KE70. it's all the other shit you need as well to get it in and up and running.

what is the car for? is it your daily or do you want to do something with it performance wise?
well its for my L's and untill i get more money for another car so i want it for daily but 4k-c is a little umm u no SLOW my dad says go with the 4k-c cause u dont need to get a engineers certificate for it

yeah you can get a 4AGE conversion engineered alright. if its just for your l's keep the engine you've got and start hunting down the parts you need for the 4AGE conversion.
is the current engine knackered or just slow?? If it's going fine i reckon you should spend the money on suspension and stuff like that. That way your less likely to crash it cos lets face it L is for learners (or lightwieght depending on how your mind works) so you need to learn to control a car, any car, not just learn to control a faster car! Also with better suspension and brakes you can go faster with the current motor and your less likely to stack it. And then when you get to the end of your L's or P's even, you haven't been defected for the 4age and you've now got a wicked car to drop a 4age into!! Or when you wreck the car you can just get another one and swap all the parts into it.
I reckon you learn more trying to go fast in an essentially slow car.

4K option obviously cheaper for all the above reasons plus you already have it. The 4AG would probably need a rebuild too.
