I have some 4-1 extractors not sure if it's worth putting them on my 86 it already has 4-2-1 extractors fitted. Are 4-1 extractors better than 4-2-1 extractors?

it very much depends how u tune the engine. if u want top end 4-1 gives a bit more flow at higher rpm. if u want more mid range 4-2-1 gives more mid range. i have 4-1 on my sprinter but i have a gze so that suits me well as i get the power from the charger from low - mid ut then i get cams the 4-1 will allow the cams to play a higher roll than the charger at higher rpm. or maybe i have it around the wrong way. either way it very much depends on how u want to tune the engine.

    sprinter seth is right.

it really depends on 2 things; the quality of the extractors, and what type of driving you are doing/personal preference - track/drift would suit 4-1 more than street which more suits 4-2-1.

I have 4-2-1's for better mid torque - but i'm getting a tune tonight so fingers crossed!
