A thinner synthetic oil can be used if it's fresh built, a 15w 50 for a midrange. you don't want it to lose consistency quickly.
though i've seen 20w50 used as well, it just involves changing the oil more regularly.

between a 15-50 and a 20 fifty there is a fart fart difference. maybe if ones full synthetic.
fairy fart thats ment to be![]()
soo is 15w-40 good???
Nafe - i think you should definitly run a 20w50... why do people insist on runnig thin oils!? is there some mis conception that it's cool or somthing??
since this is turning into what about me?
Atm i running run in oil for my motor (new rings) what should i run after that? 4agze
20w 50 or 15w40 will be fine.. tis what there designed to run on..
something like a Penzoil Multi vis, or HPR 15 would be fine me thinks.. but definitly not 5w or 10w...
It seems that people are worried about brand names rather than their ratings,
What oil the engine should run depends on how cold it is on start up and how hot the engine gets.
Cool, thanks Matty![]()
if the engine has over 100,000k's and its a 4a i would run a 20-50w. also look on the bottle to see what grade the oil is. like cf,cg the further down the alphabet the second letter the more refined it is basically![]()
