Heat wrap maybe for the dump pipe maybe no yes ?
just wondering how to keep this turbo/dump pipe from heating up to much as its getting to hot around the wiring and also my brake line on the passenger side must be heating up couse that side brake is failing,im going to make up some alloy shrouds and was thinking of putting in some kind of air flow piping
has anyone had any similar problems, daily drive is fine but track days are getting it to hot
thanks

turbo blanket + heat wrapped dump pipe
The dump pipe is supposed to get hot - the hotter it is the better it works, hot gasses flow faster = turbo spins quicker!![]()
As mentioned you want to contain the heat in the dump pipe by using some heat wrap and shield any areas around it that you dont want to get hot.
re -route the brake line
That's true for the INSIDE of the MANIFOLD. In a perfect world the dump pipe would be at room temperature (ALL the energy of the exhaust would have gone into spinning the turbine). The hotter the outside of the manifold gets the more heat there is leaking out. So heat wrapping/coating it is a good idea.
Plus if stuff nearby is getting too hot then heat shielding with thin alloy or stainless sheet is smart.
