i walked past some nerdy computer store today and couldnt help but notise the PS3 sign out the front,
walked in and they had one proudly on display, the guys was more than happy to let me have a shot on Ridge Racer, graphics are amazing especially on a deocent LCD,
also the controls are really wierd, you can have it set to and RPG mode so when you turn the remote (as in phisically in your hands) the camera view goes with it, very wierd but i can see why it could be good for RPG and Shoot em' up games

BTW anyone in adelaide who wants to have try/buy one they are 1250 with ridge racer and one control from an computer place on hindley street, across from UNISA city west campus

I dont think they get released till march in aus at like 900aus

Blue ray doesn't have regions.

All games and blue ray movies should be able
to be used in any console anywhere.

I imagine it wouldt be to long until someone brings out new HDD software or a chip to play it.

what is this based on? isn't blue ray a format? if sony doesn't want parallel imports messing with thier profits there'll be regions.

yeh they will have different power sockets, you can get little adaptors though for next to nothing, from most electronics stores (Dick smith, tandy, Jaycar etc)

And even if the games were blocked for regions, u just import your games to, shipping will be shit all on a light and little game.

i have one. the one with the 60 gig hd. it's ok. cost me a grand but came with 5 games and an extra controller.

Yep all PS3 games are region-less! so you can play any game from around the world...

Though the ps2ps1 games that are played on ps3 still have their specifed region on it. So its only the PS3 games.
