well you can either remove the springs and send them somewhere to get them reset to alter your height, or you can use lowering blocks.
i have used the blocks before and havent had any dramas......
Hi
Im currently on holidays from work, and have been looking at spending the next bit of cash on the wagon. The front suspension seems to be pretty sorted seeing it is quite easy to get parts and information off here.
Im a bit stumped when it comes to the rear suspension because i havent been able to find much information about anyone with a leaf spring setup.
Id be looking to improve the handling a bit as well as lower it considerably (its 4wd stylez right now). I was thinking of bolting the stock ae71 sway bar mounts to the chassis and just putting a standard sway bar on from a sedan, though id have the problem of no mounts on the diff. Also the rear seems pretty stiff already, so with a bit of lowering and new shocks id be pretty happy, but i have no idea how they lower leaf springs, and im not sure i want to use lowering blocks.
If anyone has any suggestions or expeience hit me up
cheers

i will get getting re set leaves on my panel van, will let you know how they go
im just going up in spring rate slightly and about 1 inch lower
cheers
ok cool.
how much are you looking at to get them reset?
at work we deal with a place that does leaf springs, but i havent seen their prices for resetting the springs.
i think better shocks will fix alot of it so i mainly want to lower it for looks.
does anyone know how big the locating pins are on my leaves?
i havent taken the diff off to have a look, and i need to know what size to get if i get some lowering blocks.
also another question, does anyone know if the same shocks from ae86's and other corollas will fit?
The locating hole will be about 12 to 14mm. Yes AE86 shocks will fit. Also shocks from a XT130 or Commodore wagon will fit.
