im about to put a 4A-GZE in my hacki, currently standard 4A-C powered and ive got a couple of questions i want to ask

    1) do i need to change my fuel pump and if i do which one would be best to replace it.

    2) bit of a nube question. but would the standard gearbox handle the extra power (engine is out of a AE101)

    3) and is there any place where i can get a hi-flow cat for my new exhaust in the newcastle or sydney area or just get the exhaust shop to make one for me

    1) Yes you do need to change it and there are alot of options out there for you have a search of the forum.

    2) Yes it will hold up if you drive it like a sane person but you most likely wont so it might be a better option to invest in a W series box.

    3) Fucks me i live in the sticks up in QLD.

plus you know that there's a loot more to it then just that you need to convert your SR5 to GTS then
to GZE plus you got to make sure you know if it's "the motor " is a Zenki or Kouki so you get the right wiring harness for it cause one wont work with the other hear is a friend of mine that has a GZE he can tell you all you need to know about them his AOL screen name is YbotSpaWn and yahoo is ybotspawn tell him Frank sent you

I have an 86 with an ae101 gze and the gear box is fine, as was said, if you drive like a sane person then you shouldnt have any probs, your diff will probly start to go before the gear box, thats what ive started to find out.

    1) You need a new fuel system to produce the high pressures needed by the fuel injectors. Look around, it's been spoken about a lot. But make sure you change all fuel hose between the pump and the rail to EFI rated hose.

    2) T50 will do fine. A W5* is good if you are brutal and start eating boxes regularly.

    3) Almost any exhaust shop should be able to help you out. Have a chat first and work out how much they know about such things.

Rcknae86 - A lot of that info you've given is pretty US specific and doesn't really shed too much light on this guy's problems.
